Shibli said that the attitude of opposition parties is non-democratic.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has said that no one will be stopped from attending the rally of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Lahore on December 13.

In a statement, the minister said that the attitude of opposition parties is non-democratic. The government is not afraid of rallies but only wants prevention of coronavirus spread, he added.

While justifying the restrictions, Shibli Faraz said that many countries have imposed a curfew during the second wave of COVID-19. Violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs) could lead to a difficult situation across the country, he stated.

The minister further asked what opposition has gained from holding political power show in Multan amid coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, Shibli Faraz said that there is no importance more than a drama of PDM rally, no matter how many dates are given, the present government will complete its term.

He also urged the opposition to not play with the lives of people for its personal gains as second wave of coronavirus is at peak.

The opposition is unduly making furor and fuss to protect their looted money, he continued.
